Use Emotional Intelligence to Increase Your Business Success
Speaker: Chris Cook
Emotional Intelligence (or EQ rather than IQ) is awareness of self and others and is the cornerstone of success in business and in life. According to research by TalentSmart, a global think tank and consultancy: People with high EQs are 10 times more productive than those with low EQs. It’s no wonder that 90% of top performers are high in EQ, and a one point increase in your EQ adds $1,300 to your annual earnings.
This hands-on workshop will explain and demonstrate the essential competencies to optimize performance with emotional intelligence. You will acquire and practice tools to understand better how others perceive you; while being increasingly tuned into the needs of your clients and your connections.
Chris Cook’s vision and strategic leadership has inspired and ushered in pivotal changes in both private and public sector organizations over the last 30 years. She is passionate about serving her community through mentoring and involvement with the Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc. (SOREDI), Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Sustainable Valley Technology Group (SVTG). Chris also teaches for Southern Oregon University’s MBA program and master in education programs.
