Speaker: Zachary Krebs
Topic: Cultivating Relationships with Open Source Websites and Customer Interaction Tools
The secret no one wants to realize is that all the tools in the world are not going to build or save your ship; making real relationships with real people is the only way to survive. It's not what you know, it's who you know, and how to access what you know at any given time— at a whole new level. We can learn how to use information to serve people more effectively by having informative websites that are backed by comprehensive information management systems. The invitation is to be in the know, share internal knowledge, help others with that knowledge and resist the temptation to use it against them (bad customer service).
- Vendor Lock-In and why any right minded entrepreneur needs to use Free License Open Source Tools for their website and information systems.
- Three text book examples of dysfunction from Office Space and how to avoid them in any organization.
- The dark side and light side of customer relationship management: case studies, and how you can create relationships that last.
Zachary has worked in the customer relationship management, open source software, and web design worlds for the last five years. He is the co-admin of the Southern Oregon Drupal Users Group and operates the community platform www.openashland.com.
